The CMV abrasive separator may operate with different abrasives such as: steel shot, steel grit, aluminum oxide, glass beads etc.
They are supplied in two versions, portable and stationary. In the portable version (on pallet) is formed by the assemblies which are mounted on a welded structure, forming a single set ready to operate, the client has to simply mount the equipment connecting to the blasting equipment and to the power outlet in accordance with the instructions in the owner’s manual.
The structure of the equipment has a place to be lifted by a forklift or crane or bridge crane and can be transported in both vertical and horizontal position and should be installed in a place protected from the weather.
The CMV Abrasive separator is composed by the following components:
Bucket Elevator - Built in welded steel structure, has a small abrasive capture hopper which is protected by a perforated plate, inspection window, buckets made from nodular cast iron that are 5 mm thick, abrasive resistant rubber belt with four plies, bearings with special sealing system against dust and abrasive and reference for belt alignment and tensioning. The driving is done by a 1.5hp (1,1 kw) gear motor). The function of the bucket elevator is to bring the abrasive dumped in to the hopper to the top where the rotary sieve is located.
Rotary Sieve - The rotary sieve is built on a perforated steel plate, has a conical shape that carries abrasive in to its interior and is driven by a derivation of the drive of the bucket elevator. The function of the sieve is to promote a first stage of cleaning the abrasive, removing the largest impurities that are discarded through a hose that captures these impurities from the end of the sieve leading them to a bucket that is located near the base the equipment. The abrasive already free of larger impurities falls in a second stage of purification, at this stage the abrasive is retained by a wicket which has its opening controlled by a counter-weight. The counter-weight regulation that defines the opening of the wicket and will form an abrasive curtain that is going to pass in front of the air deflectors, easily adjustable. A air flow produced by the dust collector passes through this curtain of abrasive, leading to follow the dust and the smaller impurities that were with the abrasive, and the abrasive already free of impurities falls in the silo. Because of these adjustable deflectors and the ability to also adjust the flow of dust collector, it is possible to purify a wide variety of abrasive with excellent quality of purification. |
